I'm still alive!! (beleive it or not)

I have to start off by apologizing for the LOOOOOONNNNGG gap in posts. But, I have some very good excuses.

1. My family and I went on a 10 day trip with stops in Little Rock, AR, San Antonio, TX (where we went to a conference) than on to Dallas, TX, and Branson, MO (we went to another conference and visited the Sight and Sound Theatre) and finally back home!

2. Once I got back home I had to unpack and re-pack.

3. I was at Civil Air Patrol's Summer Encampment (basically a week long boot camp)

4. At Summer Encampment I was suprised when I was called up to receive the Honor Cadet Award (because all I was trying to do was survive)!

So basically I'm alive and will be posting [much] more regularly :P

"Much Ado About Nothing" and "Introducing Shakespeare"!!!

Saturday night the students of Lyceum's Shakespeare class put on "Introducing Shakespeare" (adapted from "Hello Shakespeare") and "Much Ado About Nothing". Drama!!

I can't wait!!

On Saturday, May 12, 2012, the Shakespearean Drama Class will be putting on “Much Ado About Nothing” and “An Introduction to Shakespeare” (written by our wonderful director, Mrs. Lee)!



We will be performing at 7:00 pm, Westview Baptist Church, 2500 Sullivan Drive.



You are all invited!


 I will try to get some video but... we'll see how that works out! (It's kinda hard to video yourself when you are acting in both plays. :P)

Birthday Part 3

After Elephant Rock andJohnson's Shut-ins we hiked Taum Sauk trail to Mina Sauk Falls! It was a loooong hike!! But a lot of fun!

This is what the trail looked like at first.:(  The description had said to prepare yourselves for a rough and rugged climb. :P *we laughed*...

...until we saw this...

It got VERY rocky.

It's kinda hard to see in this picture but it was EXTREMELY rocky!!

After a while the canopy opened up.

About halfway down the trail we were rewarded with this spectacular view!

So beautiful!!

The rocks just kept getting bigger!!

We spotted these little flowers.

Like I said they didn't get any smaller.

Almost there!!

Finally at the highest waterfall Missouri Mina Sauk Falls. *sigh*

Some parts of the trail had to be cut out of solid rock!!

We were both very tired and hungry once we were finished. But it was a lot of fun! 



P.S. In Birthday Part 2 I made a mistake. Where my dad jumped off it was not 30 feet it was 50!!

Birthday Part 2

After Elephant Rocks we went to Johnson's Shut-ins. It was a TON of fun!

After a while the trail turned into a board walk.

We made it!

No I'm not sitting on a waterfall it's a log!

This is where my dad would jump into the water when he was a kid! Approx. 50 foot drop from the top!! It was free then but now it costs $500 and ejection from the park (a little pricey for one jump)!

It was so beautiful!

Birthday Part 1

Today is my birthday and instead of having a get together, my Dad and I went to Lesterville MO and stayed at a friends cabin. On the way there we stopped to hike at three locations. The first was Elephant Rocks.

So we investigate, and find that it is only two rocks. Phew! No need to worry about bears!
